It has been a successful summer for Citadel with over 65 governments across the world contacted and 64 new applications made, all based on cleaned and formatted datasets. The apps catalogue now boasts over 550 applications mapping services ranging from dentists in Sunderland to universities in Mexico. Datasets have been produced from a mix of open government data and data identified online. It has been great to see the growing momentum surrounding open data within councils with many smaller regional councils increasingly keen and able to open their data, with Citadel’s support and guidance.

A more comprehensive and detailed set of FAQs have also been produced in this period and will be released onto the website soon. Featuring screenshots that make the Citadel process easier to understand than ever before, these FAQs will make an excellent addition to the technical help already present on the website.
