We run something called Open Data communities, which is trying to publish all of our data and also work with local authorities so that they start to overlay their datasets with the DCLG data, and I want to talk to my colleagues there about is there the European data that we can use and also is there a way to plug in to both the practicality but also the philosophy of Citadel, because the problem we’ve got is Open Data communities is very much something that technologists are interested in at the moment, and we need it to be of interest to ordinary citizens.
Julian Bowrey, Deputy Director, Corporate Communications, Department for Communities & Local Government (UK)
Thanks so much for this work which contains the effort of many people.
Andres Recio Martin, Business Application Manager at the Municipal Transport Company of Madrid, Spain
Citadel is exactly what cities in Europe need right now. We all face the same basic challenges with Open Data and Citadel provides a ground on which all cities can build.
Tamas Erkelens, Process Improvement Officer, Municipality of Amsterdam, Netherlands
You did a good job. I'd like to be an antenna of the Citadel results and use them in Barcelona Lab (www.barcelonalab.cat) to promote citizens innovation.
Joan B. Montserrat, Assistant Director, Department of Creativity and Innovation at Institute of Culture of Barcelona, Spain
We would be very interested in becoming partners in this great and innovative network.
Lucas Merhi Muntan, Castellon de la Plana, Spain
It looks like a very interesting project to us, especially to host opendata from all over the world on one platform and allow users to easily deploy apps/maps really makes sense… In general it’s really a nice project… I think your tool is great for administrations that do not yet have an open data portal and also for people who haven’t got a lot of coding skills.
Marco Sieber, Project Leader at Open Data Zurich, Switzerland
We have large amount of data that we could (and some of it we should) provide as open data to our citizens and other beneficiaries and we think that your tools and services would be helpful in that process.
Josipa Cvelic, GIS Project Manager, City of Rijeka, Croatia
